Sometimes, the toughest challenges lead to the greatest growth. This April, our inspiring multi-generational lineup repping every decade will share stories of resilience, grit, and transformation. From personal challenges to professional hurdles, these storytellers have turned setbacks into stepping stones—and they’re ready to inspire you with their journeys. Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with heart, humor, and hope at New York’s favorite storytelling night!

Team 20s: Madeline Scrace is an Australian born, Brooklyn based writer, artist, and filmmaker, and back in school to become a sex therapist. She is the writer and creator of MASHED: a limited television series based on her experiences with chronic vulvovaginal pain. Her most recent collection of personal essays explores her relationship to god, kink, and psychotherapy.  

Team 30s: Gabriella Burnham is the author of the novels It Is Wood, and It Is Stone and Wait, which the New York Times calls a “tender novel [that] allows us to rejoice when tiny windows of opportunities begin to open” and NPR calls a “commendable accomplishment.” Wait releases in paperback on May 6.  

Team 40s: Nikkia Reveillac is a visionary insights leader and international keynote speaker who brings her Trinidadian spirit to Brooklyn. A former professional dancer, she blends creativity with strategy to inspire transformative storytelling across generations. Founder of Birds Uncaged and host of The Significance of Others podcast, she sparks conversations that challenge, connect, and inspire.

Team 50s: Marcy Dermansky is the author of the critically acclaimed novels Hot Air, Hurricane Girl, Very Nice, The Red Car, Bad Marie, and Twins. She has received fellowships from MacDowell and The Edward F. Albee Foundation. She lives with her daughter and two cats in Montclair, NJ.

Team 60s: Deborah J. Holliday, aka THE FLYING TREASURE HUNTER is a seasoned storyteller, treasure hunter, and flight attendant, blending the art of narrative with the thrill of adventure. Her passion and tenacity for uncovering “true you treasures” hidden by life’s pirates, energizes audiences to embrace exploration. Deborah’s mission is to help audiences find the gold in their own chest and become the legends they were born to be!

Team 70s: After working as an advertising copywriter in Chicago, Patty Otis Abel moved to New York City where she created campaigns for tech, travel, fashion and beauty for American, French, British and Japanese clients. Her blog, The Male Harem, explores sex and culture. Her memoir about living in Paris is presently on submission.
