Secrets & Lies: What You Don’t Know About Me
We’ve all got secrets. We’ve all told lies. This month, we’re inviting our superstar storytellers to tell us a tale about something we don’t know about them. Maybe it’ll be a real I-know-what-you-did-last-summer secret (what happens at Caveat, stays at Caveat). As always, expect our usual blend of heartfelt and hilarious as we celebrate six generations of storytellers. Whether it’s a confession, confidential, or clandestine, this month at Generation Women, it’s time to spill!
Team 20s: Tauri Janeé is a creative writer and self timer advocate who makes a living dramatizing her problems on the internet. She is a full-time pleasure seeker who celebrates joy and creative expression as acts of resistance. She loves sugar, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and dancing in public.
Team 30s: Meredith Chin's first short film, The Girl, which she wrote and directed, is currently in post-production. She is also the producer of the feature documentary Duty Free, premiering on Independent Lens on PBS this Fall.
Team 40s: Claire Burns is a comedian and actor. She’s traveled the country as the host of Retro Eats on the Travel Channel, and has been featured on IFC, Funny or Die, Page Six, Comedy Central, CBS Sunday Morning, and many more. You can catch her weekly on the podcast, No Such Thing As Love.
Team 50s: Vicki Eastus is a lawyer, teacher, improviser, and storyteller. She teaches law students how to present their clients' stories effectively and coaches authors on public speaking. Vicki believes that sharing our stories is how we achieve change. She always carries voter registration forms.
Team 60s: Genevieve Piturro is a speaker and personal strategy coach, sharing life and leadership lessons she learned through her non-profit, Pajama Program. Her first book, Purpose, Passion and Pajamas: How to Transform Your Life, Embrace the Human Connection and Lead with Meaning was an Amazon best seller.
Team 70s: Pamela Vassil is retired, but hardly retiring. She is a writer, activist, volunteer, mother, “Gramma,” and friend. She is still figuring out how to survive on Social Security all while in search of a funny joke and a good man who can tell it.
Hosted by Georgia Clark, author of It Had To Be You, and others.
