A fresh start

Team 20s: Camryn Bruno is a Carribean-American spoken word poet, writer, and model from Trinidad and Tobago. Bruno is the 2018-2019 NYC Youth Poet Laureate, the Trinidad and Tobago First Citizens National Poetry Slam Champion of 2017, and is a two-time participant of the Brave New Voices International Poetry Festival. She recently published her debut poetry book, Queen Bee Cavity.

Team 30s: Calise Hawkins is a stand-up comedian and writer who has performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Russel Simmons Presents Live At The El Rey, and more. She wrote for Comedy Central’s @midnight and Hood Adjacent, MTV’s Totally Clueless, Girl Code, and Charlemagne’s Uncommon Sense, and was also a cast member of Oxygen’s Funny Girls.

Team 40s: Alysia Reiner is an award winning actress known for playing “Fig” on Orange Is the New Black, as well as starring in HBO’s The Deuce and FX’s Better Things. Reiner is also an activist, and advocates for unjustly imprisoned populations, protecting undocumented people, and elevating women in the arts and beyond.

Team 50s: Stacy London is one of America’s foremost style experts, best known as the co-host of TLC’s iconic show, What Not to Wear. London also hosted and executive produced 3 seasons of Love Lust or Run, has written two books: Dress Your Best and The Truth About Style and is working on projects on inter-generational mentorship in the digital age and on style & aging.

Team 60s: Julia Scotti is a nationally headlining comedian, former teacher, author, speaker, and woman of transgendered experience. She was a quarter-finalist and fan favorite on NBC’s America’s Got Talent in 2016, and this April she’ll appear on Showtime as part of the Funny Women of a Certain Age special.

Team 70s: Patty Otis Abel is a marketing professional and writer. She began writing about women while living in Paris, which led to working with Isabella Rossellini, and profiling Erica Jong, Camille Paglia, and more. Her blog, The Male Harem, explores sex and relationships. She is presently working on a bio-memoir about a Frenchwoman writer of erotica.
