New Year, New You! Looking for the perfect way to kickstart your 2024? Join us at the iconic Joe’s Pub on Wednesday, January 10 at 7pmET for our first show of the year, “New Year, New You: Stories about Reinvention + Change.” Our intergenerational community will be gathering together to share true stories of feel-food of life fresh starts and inspiring new beginnings. Formal resolutions are optional, but you’ll leave our award-winning storyteller series motivated to begin the new year on the right foot. Tickets are on-sale now on our website for both the in-person show and our livestream (available around the world and on-demand).

🌱 Team 20s: Sarah Batchu is a nonprofit leader, health advocate, writer, and former public servant. She was recently named a finalist in “Money Chronicles,” a national story contest from the Center for Fiction. Although new to fiction, her voice has also been heard through op-eds in City Limits, Apolitical, and the Huffington Post.

🌱 Team 30s: Carly Ciarrocchi is an Emmy-nominated host, writer, and producer working primarily in children's media. Favorite projects include co-hosting Weird But True (Disney+ / National Geographic Kids) and the Who When Wow: Mystery Edition podcast (Tinkercast). She is currently writing a middle grade detective novel, and is a Moth Story Slam winner. 

🌱 Team 40s: Venessa Peruda is a Colombian-American comedy writer and performer. Venessa is emeritus NY Chapter President of Women in Comedy Org., was a StandUp NBC finalist, and directed the web series “FOUL.” She is now touring with the Hilarious Colombian Americans all over the U.S. She also runs a weekly stand up show in downtown Brooklyn. 

🌱 Team 50s: Heather Christie is a New York-based writer, producer, and educator. Winner of the National Indie Excellence Award for her novel, What The Valley Knows, her essays have appeared in Salon, Next Tribe, and Elephant Journal. She is the creator and producer of the LoveNotes! storytelling show, book, and soon-to-be-launched podcast.

🌱 Team 60s: Joan Weisblatt is a former lawyer and stand up comedian. She now spends most of her time taking care of other people whether they need it or not, and mostly when they don’t want it. You can find her “How to Clean During Covid” instructional videos on YouTube.

🌱 Team 70s: Roberta Degnore has avoided the suggestion in Debby Harry’s song to “Die Young and Stay Pretty.” So, she still writes to add to her thirteen published novels and screenplays that get optioned. She teaches psychology at FIT to learn from her students. Still travels solo to discover—and make innocent trouble.
