Secrets and scandals: What no one knows about me

Team 20: Kita Kanakadandila is a St. Louis-born activist and spoken word poet. She started her career as a speechwriter in the New York State government. She now works at TIME’S UP helping develop their policy and advocacy strategy. You can usually find her trying out new material at an open mic on your block.

Team 30: Uli Beutter Cohen is the creator of Subway Book Review. New York Magazine, Esquire, Vogue, Glamour, among others, have featured her work. Uli is the host of SBR Live and is working on her first book Between The Lines: Stories from the Underground (Simon & Schuster, 2021).

Team 40: Sweta Srivastava Vikram is an international speaker, best-selling author of 12 books, and Ayurveda and mindset coach who is committed to helping people thrive on their own terms. Voted as “One of the Most Influential Asians of Our Times” and winner of the “Voices of the Year” award, she is widely published.

Team 50: Catherine Kapphahn’s memoir, Immigrant Daughter: Stories You Never Told Me received The Center for Fiction’s Christopher Doheny Award. She has received grants from the Queens Council on the Arts, and her writing has appeared in the Feminist Press Anthology This is the Way We Say Goodbye, CURE Magazine, and SalonZine.

Team 60: Kate Mellina has been a statistician, team facilitator and gallery owner, and nearly got herself killed several times as an anti-corruption advocate and city councilwoman in Asbury Park, NJ.  She has performed in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and is a member of the Philadelphia Dumpster Divers found-object art group.

 

Team 70: Galen Morgan Cooper is a psychologist, writer, and actor. Her one woman show, Motherhood and Apple Pie, has been performed nationally and internationally. She’s the author of A Turmoil Called Home and she’s currently working on a short film What I Want You to Know. She works with Pet Partners International to provide canine comfort to those in need.
