She's best known for her hard-hitting, intelligent, and sometimes absurd social commentary, and her webseries Gay Girl Straight Girl has over 400k views and has been featured in Galore Mag.
Team 30: Piera Gelardi is a co-founder of Refinery29, and is consistently motivated by her brand’s mission: To be a catalyst for women to see, feel, and claim their power. Gelardi is one of Entrepreneur magazine’s 50 Most Daring Entrepreneurs, and one of Adweek's 37 Women Who Are Disrupting the Status Quo and Championing Gender Diversity. She also sits on the board of the Lower Eastside Girls Club.
Team 40: Kathleen McKitty Harris is a fifth-generation native New Yorker whose writing has appeared in The Rumpus, McSweeney’s, and Creative Nonfiction, among others. Her essay, “A Timeline of Human Female Development,” was recently published in the anthology My Body, My Words. She has also performed at the Moth in New York City, and several other storyslams.
Team 50: Peternelle van Arsdale is an independent book editor, essay and short story writer, and the author of two novels for young adults—The Beast Is an Animal and The Cold Is in Her Bones—that have been described as dark fairy tales. She’s now at work on her third novel.
Team 60: Comedian Rhonda Hansome is a comedian, actor and director, and has told true stories at NY Story Exchange, Bady House StoryTelling Concert, and Yum’s the Word. Rhonda is also on the John Fugelsang SiriusXM show "Tell Me Everything" every Monday.
Team 80: Piri Halasz is a New York-born art critic, journalist, art historian, and teacher.
